Large wood floor skaters surface. A large variety of today’s music, lots of Taylor Swift music. The music is played at just the right volume.
Fun on rink games are DJ lead. ( no prizes)
PY Photo Booth. Concession stands. Nice staff. Wall attached benches. Picnic table seating. Open party room.
Very nice place to go with friends, family, or on a date. I recommend going on Saturday or Sunday: great for beginners or for those who already know how to skate. They have good music and you can request songs. They also have little games they play during the skate. Usually a good amount of parking. If there’s lots of party’s going on, it can be hard to find a parking spot.
Edit: The Adult Skate nights are very nice too! Definitely recommend going if you’re 18+. You’ll have a lovely time.
We had so so so so much fun !! Wonderful great experience for a great price & wonderful bday party ❤️‼️💪🏼😝 …
Great music, clean skating floor. The workers are really nice; props to Troy, he was understanding and actually gave me a free soda after my canned drink, almost entirely full, was stolen. I don't know who in their right mind would take someone's open drink, but it happened, and the situation was taken care of and I really appreciated the fact that he went out of his way to help.
Great place if you’re a beginner. However, once you become skilled they treat you differently. My son has been scolded multiple times. He does his best to avoid collisions but accidents happen. For example before he became skilled and was much younger- an adult skating around the floor backwards ran over my son, and knocked me down- I sprained my wrist and my son had some injuries as well. Management did nothing when they saw it. The management doesn’t understand that accidents are just that- an accident, nor do they try to fully understand a situation- was it the speed or did the person who fell cut in front of someone? He has even been yelled at for a day when he wasn’t there. Don’t get me wrong, my son is not completely innocent and I have held these conversations with him as well. Multiple times I was there, the cops had to be called and yet those customers were allowed back. When he left a negative review they told him to take it down or not come back. While yes, it was written in haste and out of anger- he is a teenager and we also held a conversation how to better handle his frustration. For you- Look at your reviews as learning opportunities rather than believing you can do no wrong. Use them to make the experience pleasurable for all rather than just the new customers. I’ve heard similar things from past customers who no longer go here. All customers are equally important- why do you value the new ones more?
Went skating here at Skate City last night for a Birthday Party. We had a blast! The staff was SO ACCOMMODATING & BEYOND NICE! All of them! We will definitely be back for their Taylor Swift night!♥️
I took a large group of kiddos to Skate City roughly a year ago. They went above and beyond! They opened outside of hours and adjusted time to better work with our schedule. Even the kids who didn’t want to skate for long had a blast with the arcade games. The kids still talk about how big the cotton candy they bought was. It was the best and smoothest field trip I’ve ever planned.
I enjoy skating here. The feel of the floor is nice on my wheels.
But there's a couple things..
I find the admission rather pricey. If there was a bulk purchase option that gave you a savings of, let's just say, $20 per a bulk purchase of 10 admissions, that would be nice.
My partner mentions that the smoke machines irritate her lungs, nostrils, and throat. I suppose we could try to ask that they not be used when we're there, but we don't want to be party poopers.
The food is pricey as well, but you're paying for the convenience, so it's understandable. I'm not sure what kind of pizza they have, for I've never ordered food there, but if they had Village Pub pizza, that would be awesome.
Other than that, it's a great rink. I like the music choice and variation.
Thanks Skate City!
